		<description>Kate - just found my way to your blog over from Twitterland - I am so sorry to hear about your set-back.  Training for your first marathon is a tough road and there are bound to be set-backs.  You are doing the right thing, getting 100% right physically and will come back better and stronger.

Strength training will make a &quot;huge&quot; impact on your ability as a distance runner.  Really focus on your core which helps virtually everything from your posture and form to your ability to push through fatigue.  I blogged about it several weeks back:  http://wp.me/pHGel-1n
